Located in an inland pacific northwest rainforest with camping, hiking, and hot springs nearby, Lochsa Pipeline is already in an adventurer's paradise. Add in a world-class river wave, and it's no wonder this wave is considered it's Hawaiian namesake's river-surfing counterpart. A barreling, glassy wave, it's suited for begginers and experts due to the eddy pool behind it, though it looks intimidating. The wave is surfable during flows between 3,500 and 20,000 cfs. Due to its remote location, crowds are usually small. Access is right off Highway 12, around mile marker 12. Remember - always surf with a buddy.
